I've a pretty long list of things to do before I leave and starting in Feb. I'm going to tackle that list.
I may be returning. Essh! I know!
We all know that the job market in the states sucks, and ideally, I'd like to get an editing job. I'm pretty set on deferring grad school because taking out $80K in loans while not being sure if I'll have a job at the end of doesn't seem very logical.
So ideally, I'll be heading home, finding an editing job (with any luck) and staying. If not, I may return here to teach or edit. Again, ideally edit.
But the cost of living is pretty low here, and I would not be able to afford to live in NYC the way I live here. The exchange rate is awful, but I've got a lot of life ahead of me still.
Plus, I want to travel more. I have a wonderful copy of the Lonely Planet SE Asia and I've been reading it to plan the Philippines, and there are many more places I'd like to go.
We'll see.
Anyways, visual stimulation because these words aren't that interesting:

A cute sweater I bought. Ignore my messy, unmade bed please
I might keep it, might give it to Sarah, haven't decided on how selfish I feel like being. I have to go get something for Jacob too, sigh.
IT HAS EARS

It snowed on Friday

The air quality in this country is impeccable.

Random store in Hongdae.

Chris and I getting coffee at Tom'n'Tom's.
At all the coffee shops, there are separate, enclosed areas for smoking. It's awesome. Unfortunately, it doesn't exist in restaurants, bars, etc.
I won't be updating until next week after Wednesday.
I leave for Guam on Friday evening and return at 8am (hopefully) Wednesday morning. I have to teach at 9:40...It ought to be interesting.. :D
Currently reading: Hornby, Songbook. My current reading list is outpacing the rate at which I've accumulated books recently. David gave me the Hornby novel for Christmas, and I've a few Dad bought and I've bought to catch up on. I think I'll take a few to the beach with me O_o
Also, things to do on my list : (HELP if there are any else you think I should add)
1. Climb another mountain
2. DMZ/Paju tour
3. Samcheongdong/Art exploration/ cool places exploration
4. Street food (I've really only had it about 3-4 times here..for shame!)
5. Kimchi Museum
6. Ice skating
7. New foods- Samgyetang among others
8. Namsam at night
9. Korean library (i dunno, just. huh. yeah.)
I'm sure there are more, but I'm tired and can't think.
